The battle resulted in the enemy losing nine out of ten vehicles and an unknown number of military personnel.
Russian troops tried to break through the defense of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade in the Donetsk region.
The brigade’s press service published a video of the attempted assault.
The brigade’s aerial reconnaissance spotted the enemy before the offensive started, west of the village of Rozdolne, at coordinates 47.90643, 36.85583
The Russian assault group could not figure out in which direction to attack, so they cut circles on the equipment, thus disguising their own forces and making noise.
After the direction of movement was chosen, artillery began to fire on the Russian troops, as the defenders had time to aim and fire at the equipment.
Along with the first convoy, aerial reconnaissance detected the movement of the second convoy of vehicles. The enemy vehicles were actively moving without slowing down.
When approaching the forest belt, the tank at the head of the convoy received several hits. Despite this, it continued to move, leading the convoy across the field.
At one point, the convoy began to slow down, allowing the defenders’ artillery to start firing more accurately at the vehicles. At the same time, the IFVs and MT-LBs started to move toward the forest belt, but the army’s FPV drone accurately disabled an armored personnel carrier, which began to smoke heavily and move with the last of its strength and then stopped.
At the same time, the IFV drove back, leaving the assault troops with the armored personnel carrier. After leaving, they started to return again, where they were successfully hit on their way back. Those soldiers who managed to hide in the woods were actively shelled by artillery systems and FPV drones.
The second convoy, moving at high speed across the field, crossed the river. The tank at the head of the convoy drove into a ford and got stuck there, after which an armored personnel carrier took the tank crew away. After driving a few tens of meters away, the armored personnel carrier crashed into a standing MT-LB, after which both stopped.
The enemy switches from a tracked to a wheeled armored personnel carrier and tries to get out of range of Ukrainian forces but stops at the last moment after being hit by an FPV drone. The military personnel of the damaged vehicle starts running away in different directions and hiding in the village. Then, the defenders began to finish off the abandoned equipment so that the enemy could not evacuate it.
The battle resulted in the enemy losing nine out of ten vehicles and an unknown number of military personnel.
Militarnyi previously reported that the Russian invaders tried to break through the defense of the 110th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donetsk region for six hours.
