68th Ukraine Jaeger Brigade Destroys 5 Russian IFVs In Pokrovsk Armored Assault

The 68th Jaeger Brigade inflicted losses on a Russian assault armored group which tried to conduct a mechanized assault in the Pokrovsk sector. Several types of Russian infantry fighting vehicles came under attack: BMP-2, BMP-2 675-SB3KDZ, and BMP-3 688M-SB3KDZ which have protection kits of polymer panels that are supposed to protect the vehicle from enemy fire.

The 68th Oleksa Dovbush Jaeger Brigade inflicted losses on a Russian assault armored group in the Pokrovsk sector.

The 68th Jaeger Brigade reported that the Russians tried to conduct a mechanized assault.

Artillery systems, a unit of attack UAVs, and soldiers were deployed to fight off the attack.

 

“In less than a day, thanks to the coordinated actions of FPV drone pilots and artillerymen, we managed to destroy five Russian IFVs,” the military shared.

Several types of Russian infantry fighting vehicles came under attack: BMP-2, BMP-2 675-SB3KDZ, and BMP-3 688M-SB3KDZ.

 

The 675-SB3KDZ and 688M-SB3KDZ on BMPs are protection kits consisting of polymer panels that are supposed to protect the vehicle from enemy fire. The Ukrainian military previously captured entire IFVs with such protection kits.

Now, the Russian invaders have shifted their efforts to other areas in the Pokrovsk sector.

 

In other words, the Russians continue to put pressure on Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad not directly, but to the south – on Ukrainsk, Tsukuryne, and Hirnyk.

In this way, the Russian invaders are trying to find weaknesses in the Ukrainian defense and expand the occupied zone in the Pokrovsk sector.

According to the Ukrainian General Staff, last week, for the first time in several months, the Russian army made most of its assaults outside the Pokrovsk sector. The leader was the Kurakhove sector.

 

It is around Kurakhove, a town with a pre-war population of almost 20,000 and home to one of the largest thermal power plants in Donbas, that massive mechanized assaults by Russian troops are still taking place.
