Ukraine's 93rd Mechanized Brigade Takes More Russian Positions At Klishchiyivka

The fighting around Klishchiyivka is part of the broader battle for Chasiv Yar, succeeding the brutal Bakhmut campaign.

The Ukrainians have been successful in stymieing the Russian assault on Chasiv Yar to such an extend that they are now able to counterattack opportunistically. This photo, from a soldier's Go-Pro helmet camera shows one trooper tossing a grenade to another who is closer to an enemy dugout. JL
Militarnyi reports:

The 93rd “Kholodnyi Yar” Separate Mechanized Brigade liberated a previously seized Russian position near Klishchiyivka. After losing control of Klishchiyivka, or rather the ruins that remained in some places, the Russians repeatedly tried to regain it. The position was liberated with the Russian military personnel eliminated in the battle. “At sunrise, a group of stormtroopers knocked out the Russian invaders with small arms and threw grenades at them."

A video of the assault was posted on the brigade’s official YouTube channel.

The enemy managed to capture the position through the use of kamikaze drones.

The position’s geolocation is not specified, but it is said to have been important for the brigade’s defense line.

“Fighting and holding positions behind the village of Klishchiyivka near Bakhmut has become extremely difficult! The soldiers of the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade “Kholodnyi Yar” are holding their positions, but they are being knocked out by FPVs and poisoned with gasses. Due to the enemy’s much greater strength, one of the important positions of the Ukrainian soldiers was lost. This video shows how the stormtroopers of the 93rd Mechanized Brigade liberated it,” the press service provided details of the battle.

A group of fighters armed with infantry weapons and grenades carried out the assault at the beginning of the day.

“At sunrise, a group of stormtroopers knocked out the Russian invaders with small arms and threw grenades at them. The soldiers shared the video from their action cameras,” the 93rd Brigade briefly summarized the battle.

As the name implies, the task was successfully accomplished, and the position was liberated with the Russian military personnel eliminated in the battle.

After losing control of Klishchiyivka, or rather the ruins that remained in some places, the Russian invaders repeatedly tried to regain it.

During one of these attempts in the spring of this year, Ukrainian defenders managed to damage 16 units of enemy equipment.

In February, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that the Defense Forces in this area continue to repel Russian attacks in the direction of Klishchiyivka. That is, despite the storming of the village of Chasiv Yar, the invaders are actively attacking near it.
