Ukraine 95th Air Assault Brigade Destroys Russian-DPR Attackers At Toretsk

One Ukrainian tank manned by paratroopers from the 95th Air Assault Brigade annihilated a unit of conscripts from the Russian-backed Donetsk People's Republic military. 

The Russians have largely run out of armor and to the extent it is available, is not deployed to support inferior troops like the Donetsk conscripts. JL

In the Toretsk sector, Ukrainian paratroopers eliminated a group of Russian assault units. The 95th Air Assault Brigade said a “Veterans” unit  - a military unit formed from residents of the so-called ‘DPR - had been sent to attack. In the Toretsk sector, the invaders are conducting assaults from the captured Yurivka towards New York and Toretsk, and further north towards Pivnichne and Pivdenne, and are destroying Toretsk itself. “Only one tank crew destroyed an assault group of the “Veterans” unit that had taken refuge in a house,”

In the Toretsk sector, Ukrainian paratroopers eliminated a group of Russian assault units.

The 95th Air Assault Brigade said that militants from the “Veterans” unit had been sent to attack.

“‘Veterans’ is a militant unit formed from residents of the so-called ‘DPR’,” the paratroopers said.

 

A group of militants from this unit tried to gain a foothold in the houses.

To eliminate them, the paratroopers engaged a tank, which began shooting at the assault troops at close range.

 

“Only one tank crew destroyed an assault group of the “Veterans” unit that had taken refuge in a house,” the military said.

Paratroopers are also actively using artillery and attack drones in this area to eliminate Russian infantry.

 

The Ukrainian General Staff said that the situation in the Pokrovsk sector remained the hottest today, and the enemy was also active in the Lyman and Toretsk sectors.

In the Toretsk sector, the invaders are conducting assaults from the captured Yurivka towards New York and Toretsk, and further north towards Pivnichne and Pivdenne, and are destroying Toretsk itself.

Toretsk is in a dominant position, as is Chasiv Yar. This means that control of Toretsk allows the Ukrainian Armed Forces to keep the Horlivka agglomeration under fire control.

 

According to official data, 4,500 people remain in Toretsk, Donetsk region. However, as the intensity of Russian shelling has increased, there have been more people willing to evacuate.

In April, the 95th Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces received a batch of new 120mm mortars from philanthropists.
