Russian Tank With Steel Shed Cover Destroyed By Ukrainian FPV Drone

The Russian T-72 tank with a shed-like protective superstructure was destroyed in just a day or two since its discovery, when Russians used it in the assault of Krasnohorivka. The distinct combat vehicle is a T-72 main battle tank with an additional one-piece shielding to protect it from drones. The exact location of this tank was identified and used for a high-precision strike. The Russians parked it at the same hangar featured in a video published by the Russians themselves. The video was then analyzed by Ukrainian OSINT specialists. The tank as well as other equipment nearby was eliminated as a result.

Open-source intelligence (OSINT) researchers from the CyberBoroshno community report that the exact location of this tank was identified and used for a high-precision strike. The tank as well as other equipment nearby was eliminated as a result.

Apparently, the russians parked it at the very same hangar that was featured in a short video published on social media by russians themselves, soon to be shared and analyzed by Ukrainian OSINT specialists.

On the one hand, this episode once again demonstrates that OSINT is an effective means of conducting reconnaissance and identifying the location of enemy forces and assets with high accuracy. On the other hand, let's keep in mind that similar communities and full-time military structures gathering the same kind of intelligence are also active in russia.

 

That is why posting any videos and photos, which one might think would be impossible to track down, simply because "there are many such hangars out there", or "it's just a field and a couple of poles," etc., is still a huge risk. The destruction of this overprotected T-72 serves as an excellent example of the real capabilities of OSINT.

Also, despite the fact that the tank itself was destroyed, take note that during its single attack, it managed to complete its mission: drive through, let the assault team disembark, and return (see below). Therefore, appearance of more vehicles "enhanced" in a similar way can be expected from the russians in the future.
