As Ukraine Brings Key Cross-Dnipro Road Under Fire, Russia Announces 'Voluntary' Evacuation of Nova Kakhovka

Evacuating nearby Ukrainian civilians from occupied communities is generally not a sign of confidence on the part of Russian defenders. JL

Tetiana Lozovenko reports in Ukraine Pravda:

Per Russian sources, Ukrainian have part of the T2206 road under fire control. The road is 3.5 km from Krynky (and) is very important for all the settlements between Oleshky and Nova Kakhovka. Voluntary evacuation from the Nova Kakhovka City District will be conducted for everyone willing to leave the district. The evacuation will be conducted because the settlements in the Nova Kakhovka City District are located in a 15km zone from the left bank of the Dnipro River, which is "a combat collision line." The evacuation is to be conducted on 13 December.

Per Russian sources, Ukrainian have part of the T2206 under fire control. I suppose it means with mortars directly Another more pessimistic report suggests that Ukrainian forward units have actually reached the road. The road is 3,5 km from Krynky. The road is very important for all the settlements between Oleshky and Nova Kakhovka.

The Russian occupiers are conducting so-called evacuation of the residents of the occupied settlement of Nova Kakhovka in Kherson Oblast.

Quote: "Planned activities of voluntary evacuation from the territory of the Nova Kakhovka City District will be conducted for everyone willing to leave the district.

…The evacuation will be conducted because the settlements in the Nova Kakhovka City District are located in a 15km zone from the left bank of the Dnipro River, which is a combat collision line, for those willing to evacuate to a safe territory and those who are not able to leave on their own."

Details: The occupiers claim the evacuation is to be conducted on 13 December.
